George ends a breezy Friday in P18 as Formula One returns to action for the Turkish Grand Prix.

George opted to begin his FP1 session on the Medium compound Pirelli tyres, taking to the track 10 minutes into the session.

The Brit delivered a 1.26.376 lap time to take himself into P7 before pitting to change to a set of Soft tyres.

George remained in the top 10 for the majority of the session before dropping down one position into P11 where he ended the morning.

In a breezy final practice session of the day, George began the session on the Hard compound tyres and quickly put himself into P11 on the timings.

15 minutes into the session, George pitted to switch his Hard tyres for the Soft compound and re-joined the track as he continued to collect valuable data on the tyres and the circuit.

He was able to amass 29 laps of the Intercity Istanbul Park circuit to end the day in P18.

Our high fuel pace looked pretty strong today, but our low fuel pace wasn’t quite as good.
We need to go into more detail with the data tonight so we can find something for tomorrow but with rain forecast for overnight and in the morning, it may mean the track conditions will reset quite a lot ahead of qualifying.

We have to take these opportunities where conditions are changing to our advantage, and we’ve done that really well in the last few races.
It will be a very tricky race on Sunday as no car has done more than 12 laps in a row on a single set of tyres and we’ve got to do quite a lot more than that during the Grand Prix.

FP3 for the Turkish Grand Prix will begin at 10am BST on Saturday, October 9.
