After a nine-year absence, Formula 1 returns to Istanbul for the Turkish Grand Prix.

George optimistic ahead of his first outing at the Intercity Istanbul Park considering the improvements to the FW43 and feeling refreshed after a week’s break.

The 5.3km circuit will be yet another new track for the Brit to experience this season after its late addition to the calendar.

The return to a normal three-day weekend format will be a relief to George and all who haven’t driven the circuit before, allowing him to collect as much data as necessary to help his team improve the set-up ahead of Sunday’s race.

George Russell – Williams Racing Driver

“I am excited to get back racing in Turkey, and for the challenge of driving at a new circuit. It has been good to have a week off to reflect on what happened at Imola and learn from my mistake. The recent performance from the car has been really encouraging and I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve. Overall, I am feeling stronger and prepared to fight back this weekend.”
