A difficult Friday at the Hungaroring for George as he ends the day in P8.

With rain forecast for Saturday’s proceedings, George made full use of the free practice time, taking to the track on the Hard Pirelli tyres immediately in FP1.

Slotting into P10 in the early stages of the session, George quickly improved into P7 before pitting for Soft tyres.

George set his best lap time of the session on the Soft tyres, putting in a 1.19.606 to end the first practice in P5.

Moving into the afternoon’s second practice session, George opted to run the Medium compound for his opening stint, placing into P9 on his first flying lap before returning to the pits to change onto the Softs.

Struggling with rear-end locking, George put in his best lap time of 1.19.355 to finish the day in P8.

It definitely hasn't been our smoothest Friday this season, a bit of a strange one because we think it's going to be wet for qualifying tomorrow and then different again on Sunday. We tried quite a few things with the car and used today as a test session so while it's been a tough day, it's probably been a productive one.
Today was about gathering lessons long-term rather than maximising our lap times, but we were further behind than we probably expected with a couple of issues here and there. Tomorrow is going to be a totally new day and Sunday, we'll be in a different place too.
