Last-lap heartbreak for George at Singapore Grand Prix
Singapore Grand Prix ends in disaster for George after a race win looked to be on the cards
The 5.7km Monza circuit, otherwise known as the ‘Temple of Speed’ produces some of the fastest races on the F1 calendar.
The circuit gets its name due to the full gas nature of a lap. With the long straights, drivers can go full throttle for 80% of the lap.
The ItalianGP will host the second Sprint weekend format of the year with qualifying taking place on Friday afternoon and the Sprint taking place on Saturday afternoon.

I’m very excited for Monza. There’s always lots of challenges running the minimum downforce, which is the lowest of the season. It’s the Sprint Qualifying event which will make things a little trickier given we’ve only done one of those previously and will only have a single practice session to get the car set up. Nevertheless, Monza is a great track to race at, so I’m pleased that we’ll get two opportunities to do that with Sprint Qualifying and the race.
The ItalianGP will get underway on Friday September 10 from 1:30pm BST with FP1.
